Things To Do In Jordan
Jordan is a country that almost begs to be on your bucket list. Not only are there
many unique experiences and locations found only in Jordan. But many of them
are also well-known thanks to pop culture and previous travelers. They went
home with stories that encourage you to travel – like me with my blog!
Jordan had been on my bucket list for a long time before I traveled, and I was
fortunate enough to tick off a few of the top things to do in Jordan during my first
visit. But, when I studied more about Jordan, I realized that my list should have
been much longer! This is a country full of bucket-list-worthy experiences. So I
sat down to compile what to be the ultimate Jordan bucket list.

1. Explore Little Petra
Little Petra (also known as Siq al-Barid) is another Nabatean site. Historians
believe it was erected during the peak of Nabataean hegemony in the first
century CE and served as a suburb of Petra. As the name implies, Little Petra is
a miniature counterpart of Petra, which is only 12 minutes away.
Little Petra, despite its size, possesses its magic and beauty. There are
three points of interest, with the Biclinium being the site's highlight. The Biclinium
is a cave that has the most significant and extensive example of Nabataean
mural art.
2. Float in the Dead Sea
After visiting Petra, I knew the Dead Sea had to be next on my list of things to do
in Jordan. While Israel and Palestine offer visits to the Dead Sea, Jordan is the
other country bordering the " lowest point on earth" and provides an option.
Many resorts dot the northeast side of Jordan's Dead Sea (before the coastline
becomes less inviting and the southern salt farms appear). So arrange a stay at
one of these for the whole experience. You can float on the sea (it occurs!).
Enjoy a mud bath with the mineral-rich material on the beach, or indulge in a spa
treatment.
3. Go Wild in Wadi Rum
The next must-do experience in Jordan is Wadi Rum. It has gained popularity as
a result of many films shot there in recent years. There are many ways to see
Wadi Rum and you can do them all in a single visit.
4. View Jordan’s Famous Film Locations
As previously said, Wadi Rum is fighting for Jordan's most recognizable film
location. Wadi Rum has appeared in films ranging from historical and cultural
masterpieces. Such as Lawrence of Arabia and Theeb to The Martian, Star Wars
Rogue One, Prometheus, and Dune. I'm amazed that Wadi Rum isn't always
being used to film movies!
5. Experience Epic Stargazing
Because of its distant position, Wadi Rum is ideal for stargazing in Jordan. After
an afternoon of fun and a great evening dinner in camp. Walk a little distance
away from your tent/bubble dome to adjust your eyes and gaze up at the stars.
You’ll be impossible to keep track of them all.
